Wood

This course allows students to broaden their knowledge, processes and skills in woodwork. They will be given many opportunities to design and produce fun and useful projects for themselves, family or community using industry-standard tools and equipment. 

Students will be given opportunities to enhance projects using CAD/CAM techniques. Each course will cover different projects, allowing for students to complete both courses if they wish. 

Areas of study: 

• the design process 
• drawing skills and techniques 
• safe working practices 
• familiarity with a selected range of tools 
• a basic knowledge of technologies and materials
