Physical Education Studies

ATAR and General
The Physical Education Studies courses focus on the complex interrelationships between motor learning and psychological, biomechanical, and physiological factors that influence individual and team performance. 

The course appeals to students with varying backgrounds. Students have an opportunity to analyse the performance of themselves and others, apply theoretical principles and plan programs to enhance performance.  

Some of the topics that are covered are: 

  • Biomechanics 
  • Functional anatomy 
  • Motor learning and coaching 
  • Sport psychology

Pathways Beyond School
The course prepares students for a variety of post-school pathways, including immediate employment or tertiary studies. It provides students with an increasingly diverse range of employment opportunities in the sport, leisure, and recreation industries.  

Pre-requisites
B Grade in Pathway 2 Science, or C Grade in Pathway 1
and/or SPE College Grade B
