Economics

ATAR
Economics investigates the choices which all people, groups and societies face as they confront the ongoing problem of satisfying their unlimited wants with limited resources. Economics aims to understand the allocation and distribution of scarce resources that determine our wealth and wellbeing. Economics develops the knowledge, reasoning and interpretation skills that form a key component of understanding individual, business, and government decisions at the local, national, and global levels. 

Pathways Beyond School
Students who pursue economics learn to think creatively about the ongoing economic issues our world faces each day. This ability to understand the cause-effect relationship in decision-making means economics students are highly valued by employers.

Pre-requisites
B-Grade minimum in HaSS in Year 10
