Bush Rangers

Bush Rangers is a youth conservation and community development elective course that students can choose to undertake in years 8-10. It supports students to take an active role in the ecology and conservation of the natural environment including local flora & fauna and enables a better understanding of the mechanisms for its management. Students will have the opportunity to develop skills in leadership, bushcraft, conservation, first aid and many more whilst undertaking projects within the school, local community, and other locations across Western Australia. 

Pathways Beyond School
Students who elect to take Bush Rangers will develop skills to be able to work in a range of different fields. Some of the career pathways associated with Bush Rangers include: 

  • Park Ranger 
  • Environmental scientist 
  • Wildlife carer  
  • Veterinarian 
  • Marine Biologist 
  • Environmental manager 
  • Wildlife volunteer
